Hi, I have an AUII 78,000k and its been perfect, however I know nothing about cars and I was just wondering if you could shed any light for me. It is a really rough ride recently, it used to be nice and smooth but now you feel every single bump its really rough it kinda jumps over the road a little too. It is nice and smooth at 60km but at 50km it is incredibly bumpy and jumpy, my mates old VN is a million times smoother than my AU lately, what is causing this? Is it anything to do with tyres or suspension? Sorry bout the dumb question!

Not a dumb question. Could be many things.
I start with a check on springs, shocks, etc.
Bit hard to diagnose anything over the net.
Either way, if it's only recently started doing it, get it checked out. It's possibly dangerous.

It's slightly noisier in my opinion. It doesn't look lower one side. Huge potholes, the roads here are nothing but potholes however I slow down or avoid them if possible. I do park against the gutter but only once in a blue moon, and not right against the

hi fussy i think you may have tie rod or ball joints worn .this however could be the problem causeing it not to free to the centre .if this is the case tyre wear to either inside or the outside of the front tyres will be present.

it also could be the rack and pinion as it seem to be "binding up" when it trys to centre itself?have a look at it (pull the tryes off and do a quick inspection) and look for the obvious but remember to put blocks under the car never rely on a jack alone.

My EA Series 2 Falcon had a similar problem.
I knew what it was and as soon as I had new front struts fitted it was perfect once again.
My symptons were a rough noisy ride particularly on rougher roads. Perfectly smooth roads were pretty good.
