Hi,
I have just bought a workshop manual on ebay for my XB. I am wondering what the difference is from the workshop manual to the service and repair manual. Are they the same thing with different names or two different things? Is one better then the other? I have been told that there is a book that will tell where every nut and bolt (so to speak) goes. I bought my XB as a rolling shell with all the parts included but I am not sure on how to put together some parts.
Any help is appreciated.
Thx,
Nikki

Hi Nikki,

Yes "Workshop Manual" and "Service and Repair Manual" are the same thing. Some versions are better than others. Generally, the Factory Workshop Manuals are the best (but also the most expensive).

For your situation I think you are going to need the genuine Ford factory manual. These books do cover "every nut and bolt". Non genuine manuals usually don't go into things deeply enough. They are not too bad if you are experienced but leave

Workshop manuals rarely show "every nut and bolt". What do show every nut and bolt is the parts manual. These don't come up often as they are usually only used by dealers. I find they are great for working on the car as well because they show exploded vie
