Does anyone know how to remove the service alert spanner on a Ford AU instrument panel? I have tried hold the trip meter button in while in DTE mode, but it doesn't seem to remove it. Any hints?

according to my AU manual, turn the ignition on, do not start the engine. hold the reset for 10 seconds, it wiil beep and go away, well thats what the manual says i havent actually done this on an AU, did it on an EL. just try it till it works.

ON AU, YOU HAVE TO RELEASE THE BUTTON AFTER TEN SECONDS. DONT WAIT UNTIL IT BEEPS LIKE THE EL.
