G'Day all, I am curious to know if the old pre cross flow 221 crank will fit the 200 or 250 cross flow block, and what mods are needed to do this? there is a particular reason for this question. class restrictions say i must be under 250ci.and no alloy heads. 202s are still kicking ass after 30 years, even though i am an old holden man i enjoy a challange hence the ford questions, and i like the cross flow heads. any info greatly appreciated. Regards, Pete.

I think that they are the same internals as the 4.1 crossflow still has "250" stamped on the crank.
The bore spacings on all Falcon sixes is identical (and the same as a Holden red engine) so there will be no difference there.

I reckon you could swap the crank, but the issue will be finding a rod/piston combo that will do the job.
I'm not sure if the pre-xflow items will suit the xflow deck height.
Another option I've heard of is using 250 crank with 200 rods plus special
