Hi Everyone,

I have just got up and running an online auction system, everytime a member posts or replys they recieve points, many of you will already have a bunch of them (you can see your points above the bid button). Those points can be used to bid on the items that I place up in the auction Box on the left hand side.

The prizes could and will be anything and everything, i thought we'd start with something small.

- Posting a New Topic = 2 Points
- Replying to an Existing Topic = 5 points

The winner is the member with the highest bid at the specified auction closing time.

- Members can not swap points between members.
- Points can not be exchanged for money.
- Auction & Points terms may change from time to time if needed.
- Any one found abusing the system will have all their points removed.
- The FastLane Administrators say is final on all matters regarding the online auction and points.

If you have any questions or problems with this system please contact [email protected]

It rewards the helpful members of the forum.

I can see it not working on other forums (where there are numerous spam-posters who post garbage to increase their count) but it's perfect for here where 99.9% of the m

I've got a few suggestions:

* Tickets to motor racing events.

* Discount vouchers say for places like rare spares (ie like 10-20% off purchases up to say a $500 total).

* Model cars (Biante/autoart?)

* Free vehicle safety check (ie like the $1

I would go along with all the above, especially the discounts also these would possibly be easier for the organisers because other stuff may need the organisers to outlay money for.
Repco, Supercheap, etc could be approached they would not be in competiti

Each voucher is redeemable for one general admission seat for any movie at any time (except Saturdays after 5pm, La Premiere and Special Events: for Spec

I then typed in 55 and it accepted it & worked.

Could it be that you have to actually put in a bit tha

I was teasing Qute so I put in a bid of 51 when his bid was 50 and it accepted that. I note it is now 80 so it does go up 1 at a time.

See it works! Although I had to bid twice this time. Jim you were probably bidding at the same time as me but mine was a whisker earlier so yours did not register.

Dunno what it is John, but I just bid 82 to stir you guys up, and it didn't accept it until the 5th click.

I wonder if it has issues if you are running a firewall?
Cheers,

Mick

Hi Guys,

There are definately a few bugs to be fixed and they are being worked on now, if you guys dont mind persisting for probably the rest of this auction we should have it fixed by the next one.

Cheers
