Les

I bought one of the new HK repro grille badges home yesterday and compared with a NOS one. Whilst you can readily pick the difference from close range (less than arms' length) the badge is a really good replica and once on a car will look as good as original. The definition on the lion is the major difference, but the colours are almost perfect. Well done, and good value at just over $50. This is the sort of repro products that restorer's will be happy to part $ for. The HQ and LJ badges are relly nice too.

Thanks for the review Byron. I didn't realise they were out yet. Looks like I'll be trotting off next week to pick one up.

Thanks for your comments we welcome all feedback good or bad, we were also pleased with the badge, it is very difficult to reproduce from a NOS part when NOS parts differ from one and other.

The LC, HR and FC boot badges are on the way along

When we looked at this item we approached Phil Bartolo, who was very helpful in letting us look at his collection of New Old stock. What we found was that GM had used 2-3 manufacturers and each had slightly different finishes on their badge. You can identi

My NOS one is in a yellow and black NASCO box, and has the p/n along the bottom LH edge when looking at the badge the right way up but from the back. The definition of the lion on my badge is excellent, and he looks exactly like the lion on the NASCO box
