I have a 250 engine out of a xp 2door (originally thought it was 200 until found 250 on crank). I have reconditioned the whole engine but have found it impossable to replace the pushrods. The pushrods out of it are 23cm and I cannot find replacements anywhere, either new or at wreckers. Also, after searching the web and contacting Ford Australia, I have not been able to identify the engine from its'engine number... any ideas???

Ive got a full set of pushrods if your still after them.

I *think* the 250 had a lower starter motor mounting position than the 200... I cant find any information about the engine codes. Try a FORD XY or XA workshop manual, ive got an XW one, but that

hi klawsterfobik

the reason your XW manual wont have the 250 in it is because XT and XW had 188 and 221 cid engines.
the 250 came out in the first XY . was the same motor through till the end of the XB series. then the XC came with the crossflow.
