would a motor with this many mods need a larger capacity oil pump and sump?

Have a look at the HQ racers they have a very nice package that gives good horse power at a reasonable cost and if I remember correctly you can buy these packages ready to go.

Stick with your 350Holley, get the electronic ignition from the blue motor, get a bigger cam (XU-1 in mine and runs beaut!), run roller rockers and better valves and sp

Work out how much u want to spend then triple it that'll be pretty close to the target.

Triple your budget. Thats the truth!! Smoken V8, my UC has a worked 179HP which has been bored to 186, im running a rebuilt 350holley on mine with pacemakers and a 2 1/4" exhaust, i have an XU-1 cam, starfire rods, ACL Race series bearings, Hypatectic p

my boss has offered me a 15second 186 out of a torana drag car. i think i might get that and build it up a little bit more. Its a good strong motor as he has taken it to the summernats a few times now and it performed good in most events.

If your going to build up the drag 186 of your boss, your wasting your time. There's no difference in that 186 to yours (apart from cam and head work). You could save your time and money and build up your own 186 to the same specs or better!

i was looking at getting a 186 block already taken out to 192 and a xu1 cam for $400, which i thought was a good deal

I rekon you still shouldnt do it mate!! If the 186 thats been bored to 192 needs a rebuild, you have no more room to bore it out and will have to sleeve the bores!! Not a reccommended thing by me!! If you can find a virgin 186 or use yours which (hopefu

Thats the way!! I bought and built my 179HP while my UC was still a daily driver and simply swapped it over! That was because on my week off work, i need a car and had no other option! If i didnt need the car, i would have built up the 202!!
