Yep a change in Manifolds is in order. Grinding would be necessary but Its a Lot of metal(alloy) to take off!

The Bolt pattern is the same. Close anuf for me to sit my Red Extractors up against them.

Didn't even think about the Tunnel.

I wouldn't think It would need a lot of work really. If the box was healthy to start with. Most you'll, Or who ever will do the work, would be in the Clutch bands. I don't really think a burn out car/ box is going to need a great deal of heavy duty parts

If you dont get a response here you could try ask on the Dark side of (Ford) Fast lanes forum.

Im not that knowledgeable on the Blue oval stuff. But I think the 221s are from the early Falcons? Before the 250 X-flows. XK,XM,XP,XR??

Hi Guys.

The 221 ci Falcon 6 cyl was badged the 3.6 litre & was only available in the XT & XW series. It replaced the 200 'Super Pursuit' 200 ci motor that was used in the XR & earlier cars. The 250 ci 6 cyl was its replacement in the XY series.

from what ive been told you need to chop the end off the ford crank and weld the end (flywheel end) of a steel holden crank. And you may also need to cut grooves into the block so the conrod bolts dont hit anywhere. All this sounds straight forward.
