I was reading your response to (VQ cutting out) about the knock sensor. You stated that it can run more advance. The question is- Is the timing still at the base setting of 10degree's and the chip that go's with it all ready has the advance curve worked out? Or is there a revised setting (eg 14 degree's?) Also the VS S111 stato whats the fuel tank size? Is it 73liters? as when ajusting the trip computer's base settings, 73 is not the base setting. I've managed to ajust the useage (consumption compaired to refill) And also got distance to with in 30m over 10k's according to my GPS average run on a very stright bit of road. Any info avaiable on this or should i contact VDO instruments who supply to GMH?

Hi crowe.

All Holden EFI V8s use the base timing setting of 10 degrees BTDC & the computer does the rest. Each memcal has its own tailored ignition curve to suit each application. As I said the knock sensor allows to programmers to be a bit more advent
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0
