can a 351 and fmx be removed easier from a car together or should i separate them? i've removed a toploader and engine in this manner but i'm just wondering about the weight of the fmx.

I removed my 351 motor and Fmx out of my XB this way.I had the hook from my engine crane placed further back to allow for the extra weight.Its also a good Idea to have someone to help guide it out so it doesnt hit anything and cause any damage.Its a lot e

Do it together. It's way too much hassle to separate the two. On a decent crane or block and tackle the weight will be fine.

Don't forget to wrap and tape a plastic bag around the back of the tranny. You don't want transmission fluid over everything as you yank it out.
