dose anyone know if it is possible to make or buy replacement fuel lines from pump to carby. I would like to keep original if possible.

Definitely possible. I discovered a leak with mine recently. Common advice was to find one at a wrecker... I didn't want to do that, as they are also 30 years old. Went to my local mechanical shop (can recommend them if you are in Brisbane),

You used to be able to get steel fuel line from repco.
I think they call it bungy tubing or something along those lines.
If you have a pipe flarer you can do it all yourself.
I had to use it to makea return line for my efi setup in my HX.
