I noticed the other day when I floored it I heard for the first time what sounded like pinging, deffinatly a top end noise, then today I was towing a small trailer and the same thing happened while going up hills, all I heard was this pinging or rattling noise, when I backed off it went away??? What could it be and what to do to fix? It is pretty much bog std eng with 2 barrel stromberg. It runs on the United LRP petrol, but today I used BP 91 with an additive so it does it on both fuels? The eng was dyno tuned 5000km's ago and dosen't miss a beat.

I will try the premiun unleaded and see how it goes, as I drive it normally there is no noise, just under heavy loads.

With the oil, I only use Penrite HPR40 25W/70 in the old girl. It did wonders for the oil preasure probs these things have, gave me a
