Hi Kev,

I think there are some different brackets for the aircon compressors depending on model (both car and compressor).

I have a combined alternator/aircon bracket on the Qute for sale. It can be seen at http://gallery.oldholden.com/Qute on page

fitting the underdash unit won't be original anyway. The black motors have boltholes in the right side of the ehad so the compressor bolts there.

Parkridge wreckers in Brisbane have an HX with air, the engine compartment stuff is the same as HQ, missing original relay though and HXs also have extra wiring for thermo fans.

John, I have the original dealer fitted, in dash unit which replaces the glove box, but basically it is an under dash unit, but the one I got was out of a V8 so the compressor mounts are wrong for the 6.

Warren, I take it that the same bracket is used

Hi Kevin,

I just noticed that you are in Victoria.

I am working in Melbourne ATM and, if you want it and we come to an agreement, could bring it back with me next time I go home to Perth (in about 3½ weeks).

Cheers...Dave

Hi Guys.

The 6 cyl Frigidaire/Harrison/Delco A6 a/cond compressor brackets are the same from HQ up to the release of the Commodore.

The HQ-HZ type (also LH/LX/early UC) has the belt adjusted by swinging the compressor.

The VK motor in the limo has Sanden air compressor bolted to the Drivers side of the head. As Terry says adjusted by idler pulley.
