Any thoughts as to which is the better? I've seen some paint jobs which I believe to be 2 pack, but to my eye the the paint "gloss'just did'nt seem to be "right"for an old holden. It was plenty shiny but there was something not quite right.

Thanx Webby

I resprayed my hx in acrylic because the diy can manage it safely. 2 pac is highly toxic and not for diy. Acrylic will give a mirror like reflection after lots of rubbing back. Not sure on the image with 2 pack. Also acrylic is easy to patch, ie chips etc

A quick and easy way to paint and still get a nice gloss finnish is to use acrylic base coat for your colour and put a 2 pack clear over the top. Simple, no buffing and looks good. :-)

if you use a 2 pak clear over acrylic be sure it is iso-free 2pak as it is designed to go over acrylic if you use normal 2 pak it will look good but after a few months the 2pak clear will start to peel off. if you are learning and you dont have a totally

Im getting mine resprayed in 2pak right now. i could have done it myself in acrylic, but 2pak is more durable and lasts longer! That's my 2 cents!
