Want to see if it is possible to convert a standard vs s2 ute dash to one from a berlina or calais to include a tacho in the panel

You can insert a level 2 tacho dash from any VS executive etc. The calais dash will work but needs mods for the trip computer.

with this i want to try and upgrade the instrument cluster to include the trip computer in to the hole ion my dash. In this I want to upgrade to combination switches for the wipers and possible insatll the combination switch to include the cruise control

As Warren has noted, there's a lot of extra work to put a trip computer cluster in. There are 2 additional plugs in the loom - one for the switches, and one for the cluster - that you need to splice in to make it work.

Yes it is. You simply fit another cutoff switch like the brake one, to the clutch pedal, and wire in in series with the brake cutoff.

when your talking underbody loom and and dash loom what in particular are you talking about? In the dash loom are you talking about the instrument cluster and the surround or am i singing off a different sheet off music?

Dash loom does the instruments, headlight switch, speed alert, hazard switch, glovebox light - basically everything attached to the top half of the dash.

so to really do this easily is to take the wreck as you say and take mine out and put that one in. Calais have the climate control how would that effect the task?

with all these things is the any thing special required to get them off and back in? Is it just undo and and re-install no tuning from an auto electrician as such. What are you calling a bcm?
