Just when you think you may have escaped any problems with your vehicle.

I've only just had the Unchip fitted (no injectors), about a fortnight ago by Spiro at Autotech. No hassles what so ever.

Although whilst there, when the spark plugs were about to be gapped, he pointed out that they were stuffed, due to running octane boost, although the additive was the end of its cycle at the time, Spiro went ahead with the tune with the, so long as I return in a fortnight or so, making absolutely sure that I run out all the fuel along with the additive.

The issue I’m having, is that now the car, seemingly when under load in any gear, but mainly 2,3rd between 2000-3000rpm it’s hesitating violently, wanting to surge fwd, but feels like its being yanked back, once past 3000rpm, its fine.

About a week ago, I replaced the globes, both sides, which included removal of the battery to get access to the assembly.

Once replaced, battery went back in, went for a drive and about half an hour later, coming to a stop, coasting out of gear, Charging system malfunction light comes on, with oil pressure warning lamp lost power steering, had to turn the key to restart.

That was a week ago, and didn’t happen again until tonight, about three times in a forty min period.

What are my options?

Could it be as simple as that, and adding additive again should set it right?

Could the two problems be associated with the ARF that the Unichip was tuned to at the time with the additive and now I’m running too lean?

As silly as I may seem to suggest this, could it even be due to the battery?

Ideas, opinions, suggestions, please!!!

Got a bad feeling this is going to be a complicated and expensive mess

Regards,
Darren

If your not running the additive now?? Diconnect the battery. Connect it in an hour. The computer will now be reset. It'll have to re-learn the engine. That should solve your issues.
