i want to put a vl diff into my hr i just want to know about how much it would cost to get the mounting brackets changed and axles changed to fit the 13" stud pattern and use my brakes
or should i put a volvo diff and just change the mounting brackets and tailshaft
i think the vl diff would be esier for parts and they are cheep to buy hole diffs

volvo diffs should cost around $90 from most wreckers and are plentyful but 13" rims wont fit they are the same stud pattern but volvo's have disc brake rear that need at least 14" rims to clear the caliper also to fit a commodore diff you may need to hav

Commodore rear discs also require a minumim 14" wheel.

The VC/VH 4 cylinder commodore diff had a drum rear with early holden/torana stud pattern if that's any help.
Cheers,

Mick

In my opinion if you are putting a VL diff in, you might as well spend the same money putting a VN onwards diff in. $150 second hand complete or $400 complete for LSD. Expect to pay $400 to get it shortened & converted including stud pattern changed to HR
