Just wondering if anybody else was upset with the holden day, The guys putting on the show said it was a good day.lots of really nice cars. But enter on the Day was $40. I parked my GTS outside. Pre-entry still was $30 with a goody bag, then it went to $40 about 3 months before the day without a goody bag. id say 600 cars were there. I do enjoy most cars, i also went to the Ford day in a mates GT 2 week earlier. $5 on the day and there was aleast 1400 cars. Why couldnt the holden guys look at that. Less $$$ and more cars.

Frank,

It all depends on who the organisers are, in this day and age a lot of them judge the success of the day by $$$ Generated (and for Charities this is COOL).
But if it's just for an enthusiasts day out, "they" have to be really "switched on and m

Hi Frank,

Sadly I wasnt there because I worked, but I did hear that one of the guys in the Monaro Club has had a lot of input into "All Holden Day". If you have a GTS ask around. I am sure you can find a reason for the high costs.

Cheers John

Considering they have to hire the venue, pay insurances, pay for trophies to be made, pay Pinky to commentate etc, there's a pretty high upfront cost to the organisers.

I know the SES got $5 off every looker - dunno if this went directly into the SES f

Frank,
Which show were you at??? It was a great day with a record turn out. If $40 is going to break your budget, then you are not a true enthusiast.Get over it!

$40 isnt a lot of money but to people who are use to $5 or $10 for similar events it does seem expensive if it costs so much then the organisers need to do something about sponsorship and if you thought holden day was a good day out try Rat Rod day costs
