I have had a few GTS fascias over the years and 2 of them had chrome fishscales , these were not re-done and had the original words -light/lighter printed on them as per the black ones.
The question is which HQ GTS had the silver finish ?
I bought one for my SS from a swap which is a genuine silver/chrome finish with `lighter-lights` still on it.

Hi Cloudy,

I believe it was the early series SS, and maybe series 1 GTS too. It looked great except when the sun hit it. So it was redone in a subdued colour for safety. Call it folklore or fact. Warren might know.

HQ Statesman dash fascias are virtually the same as the Monaro ones.....just different gauges.
I've peeled the woodgrain fascias off a couple of these dashes, and lo & behold, fishscale underneath!!
From memory the original "chrome" fishscale dashes wer

On the back of these old fascia's should be a painted GM part number. What is it ? Is it the same as all GTS fascias ?

Please advise.

Thanks John

GTS082,

Would you mind sharing the details of where you got your dash resilvered.

My 73 HQ GTS/4 had a silver facia which had been covered in a semi transparent black colour. It is original factory.

My 72 HQ SS has a bright silver face underneat
