Took my new VK Calais to the mechanic today. He checked the engine number and was surprised to see a V0 prefix. He has never seen this before and i looked online and i cant seem to find any reference to it myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did it end in P?

It could be a Victorian Police number - which are along the lines of V012345P

Or it could be VG or VC mis-stamped by an engine rebuilder, or a simple mis-read of the letter stamping.
Cheers,

Mick

When I said police number, I didn't mean an ex-pursuit motor!

If for some reason the engine number is illegible (or machined off during a rebuild), or the car's identity is compromised due to theft or defacing of critical items of ID, then police numbe
