Are the engine sensors between VN to VS interchangeable, and are V8 & V6 sensors the same?

Physically they seem to be the same, but do they have the same resistance values?

Not always....

Eco V6 has the TPS running the opposite way to VN-VR V6.
But the VN-VS 5L is the same as VN-VR V6.

Knock sensors on VN-VR V6 will fit V8s, but not the Eco

EGO (exhaust) sensors varied - singles, duals, and number of wires.

From the fault codes it appears that I'm having trouble with my MAT sensor.
Easiest option for me is to just replace it and see if the same code comes up again after erasing the computer memory.

VN-VR V6 & VN-VS V8 run the same MAT. In the EcoV6 it moves to the rear of the airbox.
