well it depends how far you want to go?you could spend an easy 2 grand on 1.depending on your budget,you could always buy 1 from someone off a ford forum for a good price?or you could buy a good worked motor for $1-2k

whatever u do dont get jeff kendrick to rebuild it i have an xd with a 250 that he rebuilt and had nothing but problems with it , if ur gonna get one go through chris mills performance in kewdale his price may be a bit high but he builds top qaulity gear

for a couple of grand you can throw a V8 in your xe but if you dont want to go that way ive got a mild 250 crossflow with a cam out of my xy that runs on ulp with a borgwarner 40 and 2200 stall the lot $500 email me if you want more info Mick
