Hi again Guys,
with the hk wheel offset being 13mm+ & the ht/g being 30mm+ what's the difference with the rear axle and wheels? i thought they would be the same, is the axle designed for both offsets? I would like to keep my hk steelies if i fit a HT front end as they look better with the slots...what's the cost of getting widened rims fitted to my centres? If i did that I'd like to widen them to about 6 or 7" and use 225 tyres (opinions?), although it may not happen for a while as it has new tyres on it now...
Another option I have is a set of 15x6" VR steel rims, the 'pursuit' type ones and could use VL front discs/calipers (which also means changing stub axles + rear studs), but would this mean i need to use the VL master/slave cylinders too? I'm not as fond of the pursuit rims look though, you can't fit those mini hubcaps...and getting a bit too expensive
Any comments much appreciated :)

Hi 70ute.

The only things that changed was the wheels & the wheel nuts (different taper). The wheel centre is a totally different pressing.

If you put HT/G wheels on an HK you widen the track.

Hi Dr Terry,
I have a good frontend in my HT ute which I was thinking of fitting to the HK as i'ts in much better condition and is the better later model crossmember.
My main query was what happens if i fit a HT frontend to a HK + then fit the HK wheels

Hi Elton.

The HK & the HT front end are the same distance from disc to disc (or drum to drum) so with either front end the track will be the same.

Nobody will ever pick it.
