I have a HQ Ute (with later model Premier front guards, bonnet etc) that I'm trying to sell in Melbourne. The previous owner has put a later model electronic ignition system (VK, VL?) onto it. For some reason after I drove the car into the shed where it has been sitting for the last three-ish months it now no longer wants to start. There appears to be no spark from the dizzy. We did have a slight spark from the coil early in the attempted resurection, but now we don't even have that. Is there an electronic accesory or component that may be causing this?
Greatly appreciate all contributions.

Cheers...Dave

I can't see how the spark plug leads could affect the coil, but when you say there was spark was this in the main lead from the dissy to the coil, or from the small lead? In any case I would be inclined to try another dissy and/or coil but temember this

Actually just remembered the little carbon plug in the top of the distributor in my car jammed once, causing mysterious problems. Check it moves freely and pokes out enough to contact the rotor.
