was wondering about a VT v6, whether or not there was a difference between the manuals and autos in terms of engines, or is it just pedal box and gearbox... my knowledge isnt htat great, but i have an uncle who can help wher ei cant.

want to put a vt v6 and a 5 speed into a wb 1 tonner?!?!

Problem with a VT V6 is the very involved electrics - the engine computer even drives the instrument cluster (which means no provision on the engine for various sensors for traditional gauges).

If you want an ecotec V6, use one from a VS. They have a

The old VN's series 1 was the only one with dramas with changing auto-man (diff motor crank) but saying that there are kits now to suit. With the VT's I think the only diff is the computer and loom. V6conversions can help you out with conversion kits and

Just be careful if you go looking for a VS V6, as the series III utes ran the same engine and gearboxes as the VT.
On the late model 5-speeds into WB conversion, a friend of mine put a 5.0L and Getrag into a WB 1-tonner. It was an absolute nightmare. You

so the VT v6 is a nightmare to wire, but can be done if taken to a professional,

however if everything is done via the electornics, does that mean i will have to incorporate the VT dash, in which case im royally farked hey. a Supra 5spd will hold up b

have a talk to the conversion mobs first and they can tell you everything you need to know. With the wiring, there are heaps of adaptors out there to help set up what ever you want. You wont have to put the commodore dash in (it has been done) and speedo

sav, you would be much better off fitting a V8 out of any VN/Q - VSIII. They fit easier, and require no special sumps etc (all standard Holden stuff). Plus they will bolt up to standard WB transmissions, or any other you like (Supra, TH700 etc) AND standa
