The coupe project will unfortunately have to wait until the restoration of the HS SS is finished. The plan is to build a GT replica which looks pretty much stock but has all the good gear where it matters. I am aiming for it to look similar to the black

Umm, not far at all.
I have been concentrating getting the house and landscaping finished before spending too much cash on the cars.
Since I posted the original pics I have also picked up a HT Monaro coupe and that will be done before the XB.

How bad for rust is the donor car? Compared to some of the coupes I've seen people rebuilding of late it still looks savable especially when you look at the replacement metal that is out there on the market now.

You're probably right there. I guess anything is saveable if you are willing to spend the time (and have the skills) to do it.
I'm hoping someone will be willing to buy the shell once I have stripped it as I honestly don't have the room to keep it.

hey munromad, how do u tell the difference between a 302 and a 351 , i have a engine but i don't know what it is , it came out of a f-100 [not originally so im told] with a small motocraft cabi engine no is . JG37NM 7463K

Well the JG37 tells me it was from a Fairlane 500. The NM means it was a March 73 built engine.
I'm not sure but the K on the end may signify 351 but I am not sure about that.

Hi Spanners,
Building a coupe and being cash strapped don't exactly go together well. Parts for these cars are pulling decent money as a lot of them are hard to get.
Are you after anything in particular??

I'm a Muscle Car Fan. It's as simple as that. While Monaro's are my ultimate passion I generally like any old Holden and I also love XB coupes, XY GT's and there's one or two valiants I wouldn't mind owning either.
