I am looking at putting a 350 in my HJ van and i know a bloke that has 1 thats been in the shed for a few years after he rebuilt it. it has lightweight race pistons and crank, Edelbrock manifold, lumpy cam, the heads have been done up and it comes with carby but not sure what type. just wondering what u think this would be worth before i go makin an offer.
any idea's would be good

Depends heaps on the components used eg double hump heads of smogger heads, 4-bolt block or not, balanced? Compression ratio (too high for street or not)? Hardened exhaust seats? Has it been stored properly? Ask him exactly what it is and how much he want

Back again
took me a while but i found out some of the spec's and parts on the engine: its a 350 4 bolt thats been bored out 40thou its got new rings and bearings, flat top pistons, open chamber holley intake with 650 holley, T Q 20 cam, new water pump a

$2000-$2500. You will be hard pressed to run it on pump fuel, but you may just get away with PULP, retarded timing and an additive to protect the valve seats. Bear in mind that a new 350 long motor crate engine is about $2000, and add $650 for the accesso
