Dogfish the residual line pressure valve on drum brake master cylinders is there to "trap" some pressure in the lines so that the brake shoes are held closer to the drums. This is there so that if they are not kept adjusted up fully you don't have to pump

i just bought a xc 9 inch to put in my xy and need to get it shortened but wat axles fit oe are same as xy im thinking about measuring ef axles?

Nope all Falcon diffs from XA all the way up to EL are two inches wider than XR-XY diffs. AU onwards they got wider again.

You can fit the XC 9" into your XY with no mods if your rear wheels are not overly wide or deep dish.
