Hello people, I'm a motorcycle restorer but like old holdens and have the chance to buy a HG Brougham with 83,000 miles on it from the second owner. It has lived in central Victoria all its life and looks rust free but for some action under the vinyl roof cover. It has a 308, not the 307. I can get it for $8,000, does that sound OK? What do I need to look out for? Any advice would be welcome as I don't want to learn the hard way.

Sounds fine. All HT and HG Broughams are 308's. All HT are 2 speed powerglide, and all HG are 3-speed trimatic. Nothing on these is super hard to get, except the bits common with Monaros ie the woodgrain, console (if there), 6 inch rims (if fitted), 10-bo
