Im looking at gettin a 350 to put in my HJ van and was wondering what the best manual gearbox's there r to put behind it and around how much would i be lookin at to buy 1?

well do you want a four speed or a 5 speed. if for speed i would probable go with muncie and i dont no how much that will cost you for a good reconditioned one.

you could contact castlemain rod shop because i think they sell muncies but im not two sure.

why not look at putting some legs into it with a TREMEC 5speed g/box.not sure of your budjet constraints,but from what i can see, these can handle up to 600hp and with conversion kits to put it into lotsa different vehicles.once again, you should check Ca

i just got the loan for the 350 so am lookin for the gearbox now and got a budget of round about 1000 to 1500 so hopefully i can get something decent for that

well maybe a muncie or a top loader they are both very strong and toploaders are cheap there was one in the paper on the weekend for $600 and a renegate shifter. a tremec tko 5 speed and converion kit will cost you thousands and they can say 600hp but doe

AAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! top loader?,just kidding, they are strong as, but go GM mate! Tremecs probably still a bit too young and unknown to be popular.Did you know that they are a decendant of the top loader?apparently FOMOCO sold the patents for the gearbox to

i have heard that 2 but they are very expensives. i got told they are the new version of the toplader but with 5 gears

Stock top loaders are nowhere as reliable or strong in my experience, as a muncie. One example is my mate's HK Monaro. With a 350-400hp small block it used to break Saginaws and 10-bolts left right and centre. He fitted a Muncie and 9" in it and it copped
