Hi does anyone remember the silver coloured radio cassette players fited to WB and HZs factory accessory I think. These radios had a red needle that was electronic or led, I think they were a pioneer unit. Anyone know the model number, or got one for sale???

The WB has a different radio to an HZ. The WB one is a blck unit simular to the VB commodore and has a needle. There is one in a Stateman at my local wreckers when I was there about 3 months ago. SHould still be there as they are not that popular.

I recently sold one from a WB statesman and they are a eurovox unit.

Hi Jason,

I E-mailed John and he doesn't have an HZ radio/cassette, unfortunately.

I'll call you Monday arvo about the template for the WB Stato mirror holes. I didn't manage to make one for you on Friday morning.

Cheers...Dave

Hey iitsmint, I'm about to wreck a VB commodore, and I think it may have the original cassette deck in it. I don't know if it is working or not, but I will compare it with the VB service manual I have to see if it is original. I'll check it out and e-mail

Hey dude, tried to send you an email to the address above, but it bounced back. Email me at hairydude1(at)optusnet(dot)com(dot)au. I've got some pics of the VB commodore tape deck...

Cheers,

Hairy-Dude.

Hi Jas,

Sorry mate, I've been wandering around the Pilbara this week and only just saw your E-mail. The HZ that Mick has only has a radio in it...

Hairy dude, E-mail coming with Jas as a "cc".

Cheers...Dave

Thanks all, it would seem that the wb or commordore unit will not fit into the orginal radio slot, if anyone knows of a radio cassette player that was a direct replacement for the old am radio, let me know thanks, and thanks dave and brett for your effort

you will probably not find one to fit.
the am units are usually the small rectangle slot and two holes whereas every thing these days goes into the same single din slot.
id consider cutting the hole out bigger, or if you dont wanna do that put a stuffed
