Post your VIN leaving off the last two digits if you like and someone will help. Also your steering box casting stamp's last digit can help if it's original.

The car was built in September 1968.
J13558X is the sequence number and when compared with other known cars from that era we can tell when it was built.
The 8XXX7 is just the model number. (luxury level and body style)

Thanks Warren, Reason i thought it was a 69 is that i found the last rego sticker in 1998 and it had 1969 Coupe. The car has been re registered once before, so they must have erred in saying its a 69 back then. Cheers Paul |

Very interesting gday again Warren, I gave Vic Roads a call today, the car is on their records is a 1969. Was it not unusual for a car back then after being built to sit for those 3+ months till it was sold? Also whats the best way to ask GMH for recor |

If it is a GTS327 it is a bit unussual, but not for some other models.
GM-H do not have access to pre HQ records at this point in time. They only have HQ to mid HZ then VN to current.
