Hi guys, I am wondering if the later head will fit the earlier "L" series block? I cant see any reason why not but want to check with experts before I fork out money for a new head! All grey heads will fit grey blocks but don't try to miss match rockers,push rods or lifters use as only full sets out of one motor. Al.

The only one different i think was the early FE they had a lot of trouble with cracked heads but I guess they would all be fixed by now. I think the later ones may have had more compression because I vaguely remember they were supposed to be more powerf
