Hi all
The other day I met a guy with a Rover P5 with a Perkins 3.3 litre diesel engine and a Jag 4 speed gear box transplanted into it. IT seems to go quite well.
Was wonering if anyone has done a similar conversion in an old Holden such as an HQ. Any thoughts on advantages and disadvantages?
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul, Try looking up Brunswick Diesel as they put 6.2 and 6.5 litre Chev V8 diesels into lots of cars (4WD's and WB Stato's generally). Also check out: http://oldholden.com/?q=node/14349 and http://oldholden.com/?q=node/13808Cheers...Dave

If you were thinking of economy also try a V6 with 4spd auto or 5 speed manual, this is another setup finding its way into HQ type cars.
