Just wondering if anyone knew if it was legal or not to cut a section out of the firewall on an eh to accomdate tripple SU carbs. My ute has a small boxed in section made of steel, and i am considering selling her and was just wondering how much of a pain this is goin to be.

if not very obvious and blends in to the surrounding areas (matching paint etc) you shouldn't have too much trouble, look around for a sympathetic old holden rwc mechanic. if it looks like a gaping hole with unfinished edges then it'll cause problems...

I agree if it is fully butt welded all around, you should have no problems. Pop riveted in bits of galvanised sheet will not look good at all.
If it is old or rare - Cut it! http://www.ehlimo.com.au/
