A friend of mine has a very intresting HK GTS Monaro in his shed, it is a 1968 HK GTS with a 307 and muncie 4spd, black vinal roof, maroon in colour, black GTS striping, 6.5 inch rims with the GTS hub caps, full factory optioned interior, one of four factory produced 307 (not 327) 4sp promotion cars sent to holden delerships. He bought it new after it was on display for only 2 days and drove it for a couple of years and it has been garaged ever since, condition perfect! Holden approaced him and tried to buy it back but he turned the offer down. All original paper work is there from the sale of the car, including the original sale price of $3780.00 !!! As I saaid this is factory original, the only thing that was changed was the rubber tires once! This car is real and is sitting with half a dozen other cars and is as I said all factory, so what do you think?

When the green flag drops the bulls@#t stops!!

The 307 and 4 speed is a option availableacros the HK range from the release of theMonaro. Saginaw not muncie though. If fitted with a Muncie it is incorrect. (now even a promotional 307 would not get the pounding a 327 would at Bathurst).

So I doubt i

I think (if this story is true) all compliances should be checked. This will definately indicate where it was made, and we can back track to exactly how many were made. There are ALOT of bodgey's out there, and nobody would like to get stung buying what t

I know of another Burgundy Maroon 307 Saginaw GTS. It has parchment trim. The 'special dealer promotion' moniker may refer only to the maroon paint, which was not an offically available colour. Apart from the paint, and assuming it is a Saginaw there is n

This is good to know, leave it with me and I will see if the owner will let me see the car and I will get some details. His an old country boy and its pritty hard to get into his shed as all his stuff (including his old milk bottles) are worth a fortune!

For the same reason I would like to buy it: a bugundy maroon V8 manual HK GTS - the second most desirable HK (model, not colour). The only difference between it and a 327 are:

Engine;
Fuel tank;
Fuel tank covers;
An 07 instead of 18 on the ID plates
