hello my name is Ross,

I own a 68 Monaro and I need some info on it.

The details are as follows:
Engine number 327 14880
4 speed sagi/body tag 80737kr-02484-h5
Trim/1152-10x
Paint/568-1285
Chassis/80737KH551575
Stamped on firewall/hk42565 SS
Dash is 140mph
Taco on console/ 10 bolt diff

It came from nsw as I found a part of rego green nov 1983
dash and console have 127 written in ink large fuel tank with correct fittings

The firewall number is important to me

Any info will be appreciated

It is originally a HK GTS, 186S or 307, number 2484 from the Pagewood (Sydney) plant. It was originally Picardy red (1152) with black vinyl trim (10X). If the Saginaw and 10-bolt are original it would have originally been a V8 (307) GTS 4-speed. HOWEVER,

the 127 written in ink is likely to be from a wrecker, they wouldwrite codes on parts so they knew which car it came from.

Byron it cannot be a typo on the 07 as the sequence number is too high to be a 327 body.

My guess for this car is that someone

Leith, if you are in contact with Ross, the tags match the body so someone has stuck a genuine 327 engine into a GTS (probably the rest of the stuff too). Also ask him if the car is blue and came from the Newcastle region as I saw a similar car to this a

Hi Byron/Warren and co thanks for the info. I bought the car approx 7 years ago here in nz I was told I am third owner original owner worked for gm I am unable to get his details Fuel tank is fitted correctly hump in floor passenger side fuel line is run

I always found a good male Dobe to be an excellent thief deterrent. Biggest sooks until someone unknown enters their territory....(and they remember people even after 7 or 8 years!).

All I can trace is approx 1985. I have a male shepard but a solid object slowed him down that day. The car had original red paint when i bought it I have heard a few different things on this car But if chassis number and tags match what is the engine numb

The engine number definitely does not match the PSN (ie H551575);
The Pagewood build number (02484) is far too high to be an 81837 (must be <500-600);
The build number (02484), PSN (H551575) and chassis number (HK

Hi Byron breather line is roughly punched I have just pulled rubber gromett out it has 2 numbers on it 40 42 I have just got the numbers of diff 12345 above b7830
rego NSW NOVEMBER The only numbers I can make out is 217
