Hi all, I'm new to site so sorry if I have placed this in the wrong place.
I have been trying to learn more about engine re-building. I have bought all the books, and now I'm hoping to find an old worn, V8 engine to have a play around on.
SO this brings me to the hunt for a cheap old V8 that I can pull down and have a play with and hopefully if it's good enough keep for one day to re-build. I'm hoping that I'd come across an old stock worn out V8. I dont mind what style as I would be really thankful for any old V8 that's cheap enough just to play around on.
I'm located around the south east QLD, so if you know of any or hear of any old engines that are ready for the dump or in an old rattler ready to be sent to the wreckers, please keep me in mind.

These pop up regularly on Ebay, it's just a question of waiting for one that is located close to home.
I've seen the old clunker 302's go for $50-$100.
