Hi,
I'm just wondering what the strip that runs along both sides of the car from the front to the back is called. (The strip which protects you from abandoned shopping trolleys ...). It seems that my memory has gone on holiday and forgot to remind me.
I have a white WB statesman and these strips are starting to show their age. They are not fitting properly and don't really match the colour of the car. I would like to either replace them with new ones (if that's possible) or get rid of them and run the statesman without them (which will require some form of patching and painting) or fix them (does anyone know who can do this).
Obviously I wouldn't be the first to need to replace these, but I can't seem to find anything on ebay or Rarespares.
Any ideas?
Thank's
Peter

they are protector strips/body mouldings , try checking out some swapmeets , if you remove them completely I think you will find you will have HQ body lines which these strips cover over .

If is mainly the clips you need you can get a set off ebay. I bought a set and they are quite good. You could probably repaint them with some sought of vinyl paint depending on how bad they are. I wouldn't remove them because you will have no protection f

As Cloudy says they are body mouldings. They aren't available new, but occasionly NOS bits come up on ebay. I wouldn't remove them, as you'd have to get the holes welded up, then repainted. Aaron's sugestion of repainting them using a vinyl spray sounds l
