just wondered what everyone thinks are the best brand of engine oil and there opinion on oil additives eg stp nulon wynns cheers

I use Penrite Oils is my old Holdens. Nothing else, EVER.
As for additives, I prefer Nulon to any other. Dont know if the do any good tho.

The fact is that just about every major car maker in the world advises that you DO NOT put additives into your oil.
If you want the best protection possible, find a good oil and change it just a little bit more often than the manufcturer recom

I have used Penrite eng,diff and trans oil for 7 years.......noprobs. Dont ever use reclaimed or cheap unknown brands. al.

As an ex Wynns sales rep I know a bit about their products, a couple of years after leaving them I still use them in my cars... The main thing is start with a quality oil and use the right product for the appication.
