Hi once again,
I hope someone can shed some light on this one the fan inside the car doesnt always work when i turn it on (dam gremlins) but i have checked all fuses and they are all ok as far as i can see. now the funny thing is i can crank the car over and it will work 2 seconds later it stops then might not work for another 20 odd minutes this is annoying ecxpecially when its wet and i need the heat on the windscreen...grrr......well hope someone out there can help me worm the gremlin out of my fan

There is a resistor on the top of the heater unit that fails (accessible from the wiper plenum). When the fan doesn't work have yo tried it on maximum speed? If it works on maximum but not on the lower speeds the resistor is intermittent. HTH Jim...

thanks for your reply but The fan will run on any setting from 1,2,3 and hi but it only works when it decides it wants to....very annoying
