I was set on a 10 bolt diff but I've found a HK 9 inch fully rebuilt with disc brakes, 3.5:1 centre etc for a good price. I have a HG ute. I'm not sure if this 9 inch was built for a sedan or ute.

My question is did the HK sedan have leafs on the back or trailing arm setup? Will the diff go in with my leafs regardless?

HK are all the same. As far as the diff is concerned HK-HG are the same setup. The only thing that changes is the leaf springs are different for HT and HG as they have a bigger front bush, although HT/G manual 307/308 and 350 continued with the HK front b

All HK/T/G use the ame basic leaf spring set-up, all the rear axle housing will interchange, except for the location of the flexible rear brake hose.

If I can't get the tailshaft, handbrake cables and mounting hardware it's not too big a deal? Not enough to justify passing it up?

I'm assuming as the add says it's set up for a HK it should have Hk/t/g discs. Hopefully talk to the guy today about the

Common conversion from my (very limited0 experience was to keep the ford discs & have them re-drilled or just run ford pattern on the back.
