After putting front discs on my HG, after a week or 2 everything seemed to be fine. Then started squealing when breaking...LOUD squealing.

I took it to the brake place that reconditioned all my calipers and master/booster etc. They had a look at it and found they had something adjusted in the master that wasn't allowing the calipers to fully release.

No squeals for a few days, but today it started up again. Keeping in mind most likely the original brake pads were in calipers still, I got a new set put in. The guy took it for a test drive and got no squeals.

I drove it home and was good for about 5 mins then it started up again. Could this be the new brake pads wearing in? Seems to squeal mostly when at low speeds ie. coming to a stop at traffic lights or turning corners.

Any ideas? I'll be taking it back if it continues next week. If you hear brake squealing in QLD today it was most likely me.

It may be the compound of the pads bedding in YES !! Some pads are soft, some are hard. The harder the pad, the longer it may take to settle down.
