No I don't think it is old fuel mate. I took the car for a run last night and it ran like a dream for 20 kms or more but
it was a cool night.
To be honest having read Monaro 202s post I have to say that he has described my car's symptoms

My 253 as mentioned before has had similar issues. For some time I have known the 253 is running hotter for no real reason. i thought maybe its global warming. At the back of my mind, I know I replaced the thermostat some 6 months back that made

OK - I did around 350kms over the weekend at extended highway speeds. Usually I am happy to cruz but this time all hills got hammered.

Well the new thermo made one hell of a difference. The block doesnt get anywhere near as hot going by the guage. The
