I was reading an old copy of Van Action and came across an article on the "Ewe't" - an HQ ute built by GMH for the Motor Shows. It had a Premier front end, polycast wheels, Ewe't badgework, a mix of Premier and Statesman interior bits, GTS steering wheel, TH auto and the piece de resistance ..a 350 under the bonnet. It was sold by GMH to a NSW dealer who then had it for sale to the public at $6000. cheap now .. and not a bad price then according to the article. Does anyone know if this car is still around? I think it would be worth a tad more than $6000 these days!!

Thanks Frank. Just register and login and you'll find my email address on this site under my profile. I'd rather do that than send out an email address to an anonymous location.

Too early. The Ewet was a 3/72 build, and the clone was a 5/72. Sandmans didn't start until the last week of December '73 or thereabouts. The second one was sold by the same dealer that sold the first one so I'd say he had two buyers and ordered the secon
