The pipe on the left has parted company with the canister and the nut that holds it all together is not there. When it went it made a load hissing sound and there is a yellow oil type substance sprayed around the front of the car. What is it for, is it part of the AC system ? and will it hurt to drive the car around like it is. VS Holden. I hope the photo works. Cheers Mal

The yellow stuff is a UV dye that is put in to detect any leaks in the system under ultra violet light.
If your pressure switch (at the top of your picture)is wired up correctly and not by-passed,then you can drive it.Make sure you block/tape up the open

Thanks for the reply Mario. Looks as though it is wired up correctly. I wil tape it up and get it fixed. One thing that puzzles me is what happened to the nut that holds the pipe in place , you would think it would have just slipped down the pipe. Cheers
