Hello I have a 91 xf Panel van and the power steering pipe that runs under the sump has worn through the sump.
Would anyone know a way to fix the sump without removing the engine. The hole is about 1mm square.

you have to either remove the motor or grind out the pannel under the radiator to remove the sump on an xf.there maybe a way of fixing it,try getting a short thick screw or like a gaurd bolt,put a large washer on it then put liquid steel etc on it,when yo

Take out the radiator.
Stick a block of wood under the sump to spread the weight and jack it up just a bit to take the weight off the engine mounts.
Take the bolts out of the mounts and take the engine up another few inches. Stick a couple of bits o

i have also tryed this but because xf's have a panel under the radiator you can remove it unless you grind it off.xd/xe dont have the panel.

Thank you I used the liqued metal and worked great.
Warning to all who have power steering pipes running under sump, check on the clamps that hold them in place or you could end up a lot worse than me.
