Hi all,
A friend of mine is looking to sell his 1972 HQ GTS Monaro coupe.
It is a genuine V8 (253) GTS coupe (80837) with the original engine still fitted.
Trim 0597-21X = Antique Saddle/Brown Trim
Paint 568-5384 = Royal Umber paint colour
As shown in the pic, the car has been resprayed diamond white (white with a hint of blue) and the interior has been retrimmed in a combination of blue vinyl and cloth.
It is a very tidy car which has had a lot of money spent on it in the past and has been very well kept.
He has owned it for 15 years and estimates he has done less than 20,000 miles in that time.
The motor and gearbox were both professionally rebuilt and have less than 9000 miles on them.
The motor is not standard and has been crack tested and balanced as part of the rebuild.
It runs 10:1 compression, ported and polished heads and a newly rebuilt 465 Holley.
The wheels are Dragway "Draglites" and were custom built to ensure they gave that deep dish look but stayed within the legal track width requirements.
This vehicle has passed a full 300 point roadworthy inspection at Adelaide's regency Park Inspection Centre in the exact condition as you see it now.
In order to ensure the buyer gets a vehicle in top condition he has just spent well over $1000 on things such as fitting a new water pump and battery, rebuilding the carby, replacing all hoses, belts and filters, having the engine and radiator flushed and numerous other little finishing touches.
This car is ready to jump in and enjoy driving.
The vehicle is going to be sold through ebay but it is advertised here first so that prospective buyers can organise to view the car before it is listed.
I have checked the vehicle myself and can veryify that the ID tags have never been removed from the vehicle and the chassis matches the tags etc etc. Date code on engine matches the build date too.
For more information and the owners contact details, please email me (Munromad2004 at yahoo dot com).
Please remember that this is a genuine V8 GTS Monaro and will be highly sought after.
