How do i wire up a tacho from a GTS Dash to a HJ holden with Elec Ign?

Same as a normal dizzy, assuming you mean a Holden HEI. Brown wire to -ve side of the coil. If in doubt copy a WB.

Some of the early Tachos have a problem with HEI and don't work correctly when HEI is fitted to the car.

If yours is playing up, take it to an auto instrument mob, tell them what it is doing and that you have HEI ign and they should be able to fix it f

Yeah thanks, thought it might of had something to do with the HEI.

The instrumentation place I went to sold me a $12 diode to go in series with the signal wire from the dizzy for when I converted from points to HEI. Worked fine.
